Wensleydale Camping At Aysgarth Falls
Wensleydale Camping at Aysgarth Falls offers you the unique opportunity to truly get back to nature in a beautiful 30 acre woodland and open nature reserve; St Joseph's Wood at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Open Camp Fires & BBQ - Allowed!
Build your own open fire and BBQ. Why not have a sing-a-long around the camp fire toasting marshmallows and sharing camp fire tales?
No 'Lights out' Restrictions!
No 'lights-out' means you can enjoy the outdoor camping experience long into the night whilst being respectful to other Happy Campers - or stay up and explore with a night time treasure hunt. Children are free to use their imagination to enjoy woodland adventures such as hide and seek, shelter making, treasure hunt, making bows and arrows or where ever their imagination takes them!
No Pitch Restrictions!
There are a number of clearings within the 30 acre woodland in which we allow you to decide where you want to pitch your tents and any tenting accessories such as awnings or gazebos - and at no extra cost!
Everyone is welcome for any occasion!
Our back to nature camping experience is suitable for everyone from couples to families with young or grown up children to large groups.
Our Campsite is very popular for themed parties, birthdays, sleep-overs, reunions and get -togethers, Scouts, Girl Guides, Brownies, Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions, Air and Army Training Corps, Uniform Supervised Groups, and outdoor activity holidays, the list goes on!
Woodland Wild Life & no pet Dogs
The woodland is full of native fauna and wildlife including rabbits, squirrels, hedgehogs, doormice, owls, ducks, the green woodpecker and wild deer so keep your eyes peeled for them grazing under the trees! Because of this fantastic array of precious wildlife we do not allow dogs on the campsite.
'HANG A HAMMOCK!
Our woodland is absolutely perfect for hanging a hammock for sleeping or just relaxing during your stay. Because the trees grow strong and are close to one another this means you can set up as many hammocks as you wish and still maintain a close camp setup. All hammocks must be hung with strap fittings around the tree (not ropes) to ensure the trees are not damaged.

The Campsite offers festival compost toilets and pre-laid natural stone surround fire pits.
There are plenty of delightful local amenities for you to enjoy during your stay if you wish and all within a minutes walk or a short drive from the campsite.
The Mill Race Teashop: A family run Teashop situated next to the magnificent Aysgarth Falls and Yore Mill in beautiful Wensleydale
Public House & Restaurant :The Aysgarth Falls Hotel at Aysgarth Falls, The Wheatsheaf in Carperby and The George & Dragon in Aysgarth Village.
Convenience Shop (licensed): Aysgarth Garage in Aysgarth Village and West Burton Village Shop in West Burton.
Fuel Station: Aysgarth Garage in Aysgarth Village, Aldersons in Woodhall and Leyburn Fuel Station
(For any medical attention)Doctors Surgery: Central Dales Practice in Aysgarth Village
Camp Waste
You will be wild camping with a 'leave no trace' ethos to protect this wonderful place so you will need to be organised to take all your camp waste away with you.
Mobile Phone Network Coverage
All major networks provide a good coverage 4G mobile phone signal from the campsite including EE, Three, O2 and Vodafone.

We are open all year round and allow you to arrive and depart any time of day between 8am and 8pm.

PRICES
We would be delighted for you to send us your camping enquiry for us to provide you with a bespoke quotation for your stay based upon number of people, date, number of tents etc as all requirements are different!

~ Following your camp enquiry we will send you booking details including booking form for signing and return.
~ A 50% deposit is required to secure your camp booking with us
~ The balance must be paid 14 days before your camp. If your booking falls within 14 days of your stay the full price is payable to secure your booking.
~ Payments for your stay are non refundable to enable us to manage bookings of the campsite effectively.
